Get OET Ready
Not sure where to start?
Start your OET preparation journey with an intro course
1. Get to know the OET Test with our free 'Intro to OET' online course. This will help you understand the test format, skills needed, assessment process and more.
2. Download and use the 'OET Study Guide' for more resources that focus on each part of the Test.
The materials on our website and in the OET Store are the best quality resources available. Beware of using non-official materials from the internet as these often do not reflect the real OET Test.
Your test preparation depends on two things:
- Your current English level. If you’re not sure, you can check your reading, listening and language knowledge with OET Pulse. It’s a quick 30-minute test for healthcare professionals that will give you your current English level.
- The time you can spend each week studying. If you need to increase your language level, or if you can only spend a few hours on test preparation each week, it may take you longer to prepare.
Sample tests will help you become comfortable with the test format, timing and question types. You can take the sample tests under test conditions (i.e., without breaks, strictly timed) or you can use them to practise your test-taking skills.
The best thing you can do with sample tests is to analyse your wrong answers. There may be language or skills that you need to improve in order to increase your scores. Focus on building those skills rather than simply taking test after test.
Note: We offer free sample tests for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking on oet.com/ready. You can find more in courses and books in the OET Store.
