73% of candidates achieve the results required to register with the UK's nursing and medicine regulators.

OET Premium Preparation Provider Specialist Language Courses (SLC) has shared their OET preparation results for the first quarter of 2020, recording a pass rate of 73%.

The 59 candidates who sat the test in January, February and March were all at different levels of English proficiency when they started their training with SLC, the lowest being a low B2 on the CEFR scale. This is approximately equivalent to a C in OET.

Training programs varied, with 15 candidates receiving one-to-one coaching from five hours to 70 hours and 44 candidates receiving online group tuition of up to 10 students per class.

The 16 candidates who did not achieve the results they required to register with the UK's General Medical Council or Nursing and Midwifery Council only narrowly missed out. The team at SLC are optimistic that they will succeed upon resitting OET.
