Empowering Filipino Healthcare Professionals OET Strengthens Ties in the Philippines

OET expanded its footprint in the Philippines with a series of impactful events in May 2025, reinforcing our commitment to Empowering Filipino healthcare professionals through communication excellence.

In collaboration with long-term partner Oxford International, OET formalised new alliances through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with three key institutions: RACE Training and Review Center, San Pedro College Davao, and ASC Global Recruitment. These partnerships aim to support Filipino nurses and allied health workers with the English communication skills they need for success in global healthcare systems.

From language workshops to OET preparation courses and career-focused support, these MOUs signal a shared commitment to building sustainable, skills-based pathways for Filipino healthcare talent.

OET hosted a dynamic stakeholder roundtable, featuring organisations such as the Philippines Nurses Association (PNA) and Private Hospitals Association (PHAPi), where leaders discussed how English language proficiency enhances employability, career mobility, and patient outcomes.

OET Ambassador, May Parsons who at the time was the Deputy Director of Quality and Patient Safety for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, shared an insightful message

“OET opens doors not just to jobs, but to meaningful careers that change lives.”

Backed by the belief that Filipino healthcare talent is among the best in the world, OET is proud to support their global journeys through trusted partnerships, recognised qualifications, and a growing ecosystem of support.
