We’re pleased to share that the Dental Council of Ireland now recognises the OET Test on Computer as proof of English language proficiency for overseas-trained dentists seeking registration. Until now, the Council had only accepted OET Test on Paper.
What scores do I need?
To meet the Dental Council of Ireland’s English language requirements, you must achieve a minimum of Grade B in each of the four sub-tests: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
You can find the Council’s official guidance on language proficiency here: Dental Council of Ireland – Language proficiency requirements
“The OET Test paved the way for me to practice dentistry in Ireland, a goal I had been working towards for quite some time. This achievement not only expanded my career prospects but also provided me with the means to enhance my quality of life.” – Alessandra Generosi Barbedo, Orthodontist
