Are you an International Medical Graduate (IMG) aiming to take part in the 2026 NRMP® Match? If so, there's an important update you need to be aware of:

To be eligible for the Match, you’ll need to meet ECFMG’s clinical and communication skills requirements, among other requirements, if you haven’t done so already. This includes completing a 2026 ECFMG Pathway, or revalidating a Pathway that has expired.

As part of completing or revalidating a Pathway, you will need to have a satisfactory score on OET Medicine—the English language proficiency test designed specifically for medical professionals. Your OET test result must be dated on or after 1 January 2024 to be valid.
